New Delhi: Veteran actor Kamal Haasan is one of the most talented actors of the Indian film industry in the world. Having played some of the most unconventional characters in his career, Kamal has acted in over 100 films in his career. As the ‘Auntie 420’ actor turns a year older today, his daughters Shruti and Akshara Haasan penned heartfelt notes to wish their ‘Bapu’ on his special day.
Shruti Haasan shared an old childhood picture with her father on the latter’s birthday on her Instagram. The caption for the post read, “Happy Birthday!! @ikamalhaasan May this year and many more to come be filled with your signature brand of joy, magic & artistry and can’t wait to see the incredible things you have in store for us!!!”
Kamal’s younger daughter Akshara Haasan also shared priceless throwback pictures on her Instagram and wrote, “Happy birthday my Bapu. I am blessed to learn so much about life and its different perspectives through your work. From the heart you drive your passion, it has inspired me to be the best in the work that I have chosen. Happy birthday my rockstar, Bapuji.”
Kamal Haasan started his acting career as a child artist in the 1960 Tamil language film Kalathur Kannamma, for which he received the President’s Award. Since then she has acted in several iconic films including ‘Sadma’, ‘Chachi 420’ and others. Kamal has also received the National Film Award four times and is also a recipient of ‘Padma Bhushan’ and ‘Padma Shri’.
Kamal Haasan will next be seen in ‘Vikram’, ‘Indian 2’ and ‘Dasavatharam 2.0’.
