The actor-politician has partnered with Fantico, an Indian licensed digital collectibles platform, to launch his own NFT collection. The fan engagement platform will also launch his digital avatar. Furthermore, Haasan will have a special place in the gaming world, with Fantico launching a game-based metaverse for him.

The move will give the actor’s fans and followers an opportunity to start a conversation with him in their own world, and the feature will be available worldwide as it is digital. It will also enable them to access their digital avatar, buy souvenirs as NFTs and opt for meet and greet sessions. Apart from NFTs, Haasan’s mementos will also be available in physical form to his fans.

Fantico will begin the process of bringing in Star by first launching its collection of NFTs. An NFT is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger called a blockchain that certifies a digital asset to be unique and therefore not exchangeable. NFTs can be used to represent objects such as photos, videos, audios and other types of digital files.

Haasan’s announcement comes a day after the NFT collection, autographed posters and collectibles of megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Madhushala’, which received a bid of around Rs 7.18 crore in an auction organized by Beyondlife.club. This was the highest ever bid for an NFT in India. The auction started on November 1 and ended on November 4. The most successful ‘Madhushala’ NFT collection during the auction – a poem by Amitabh Bachchan’s father – was recorded in the superstar’s own voice.
