Kamal Haasan in hospital due to Covid-19, daughter Shruti to host ‘Bigg Boss Tamil’ this week?


With actor Kamal Haasan unavailable to host ‘Bigg Boss Tamil 5’ for at least two weeks due to his treatment for Covid-19, the question now is who will anchor the weekend episodes of the popular reality show. There are unconfirmed reports that Shruti Haasan, daughter of Kamal Haasan has been approached in this regard and she may anchor the show till her father returns.

Shruti Haasan on Wednesday shared an update about her health saying that she is recovering. Shruti tweeted, “Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers for my father’s health, with folded hands he is recovering and looking forward to interacting with you all soon.”

Kamal Haasan is currently undergoing treatment at Sri Ramachandra Medical Center in Chennai. Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, where Kamal is undergoing treatment for COVID-19, said on Wednesday that the actor’s condition is stable.

“Mr Kamal Haasan is undergoing treatment for COVID at Sri Ramachandra Medical Center. His test parameters are under control. His condition is stable,” the hospital said in a statement.

Meanwhile, there are also rumors that actresses Ramya Krishnan and Vijay Sethupathi have also been approached and one of the three actors may step into lotus shoes for a week or two.

However, the television channel on which the reality show airs, star Vijay has so far chosen to keep the cards close to his chest.

When IANS contacted the channel, it said that it cannot comment on the issue at this time and is neither ready to accept or deny the rumours.
