B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering will have 30 seats and admission will be through West Bengal Joint Entrance Board Examination (WBJEE).

Vice-Chancellor Manas Kumar Sanyal said on Saturday that Kalyani University in West Bengal’s Nadia district has got AICTE approval to start B.Tech courses and M.Tech programs. He said that B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering will have 30 seats and admission will be through West Bengal Joint Entrance Board Examination (WBJEE). M.Tech in Information technology He said that there will be 12 seats and the university will conduct its own admission process.

Classes will start from the 2022-23 session itself. The courses will be a part of the Engineering Department and technology Study under the Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Management.

Presently, the department offers B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, B.Tech in Information Technology, and M.Tech in Communication Engineering. “The introduction of new courses will provide opportunities to more students, and we hope to get affiliations for a few more programs in the coming years,” Sanyal said.
