Kajari Teej is an important festival celebrated by married women in various parts of India, particularly in the northern states such as Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the three Teej festivals, the other two being Hariyali Teej and Hartalika Teej.

Kajari Teej, also known as Kajli Teej, usually falls during the Krishna Paksha (waning phase of the moon) of the Bhadrapada month, which corresponds to August-September in the Gregorian calendar. Kajari Teej is celebrated fifteen days after Hariyali Teej. Usually, Kajari Teej comes three days after Raksha Bandhan and five days before Janmashtami.
