Kabaddi AR Lens: Snapchat introduces new Kabaddi AR lens – Times of India

New Delhi: Photo-messaging app Snapchat ready to give virtual kabaddi experience for its users. The app has partnered with Pro Kabbadi League (PKL) Season 8, which is starting from 22nd December.
Snapchat has partnered with star sports To give its users a virtual experience of the game with the help of Kabaddi AR lens, Lens allows users to participate in a virtual raid by simply selecting a lens and saying “Le Panga”. The user will appear as a raider in the middle of an opponent’s court, surrounded by seven players and can begin play by physically bowing their head.
The defenders would emerge from both sides before returning to their original positions sometime later, calling on the raiders to tag them. To score a point, the user must rapidly turn his head in the right direction. The AR lens is designed to give users the feeling of being in a real stadium and features realistic SFX like “crowd cheer” or “Kabaddi Kabaddi” in the background.
Talking about the lens, the company said, “We wanted to leverage our AR technology capabilities and create a fun way for Kabaddi fans not only to join and support their favorite PKL teams but also Star Sports. but also wanted to virtually experience the game of kabaddi. From the opening day of Snapchat PKL 2021, Lens will be able to be unlocked by simply opening Snapchat and clicking on the lens carousel.”
Recently, Snapchat introduced a new standalone video editing app called Story Studio. The editing app designed for creators claims to make the process of creating vertical videos more engaging.
With this new app, Snapchat users can add effects like text, trending audio and AR lenses. Videos created using the app can be uploaded directly to Spotlight which is a TikTok-style video section. Videos can be downloaded and shared on other platforms.
