Justin Langer beats Mitchell Marsh, wears the yellow jersey

Australia men’s team coach Justin Langer was recently seen pulling off Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh’s full playing kit during his practice session. Video of the same. was shared by the official Instagram page of Cricket Australia. In the short clip, Langer was seen wearing Marsh’s yellow jersey running around and talking to the players. The reason Langer donned Marsh’s kit was because he lost to the 29-year-old. Ahead of Monday’s Australian Football League (AFL) match between the West Coast Eagles and the North Melbourne Kangaroos, Langer and Marsh had placed bets.

While Langer was backing the Eagles to win their Monday match, Marsh was backing the Kangaroos to trouble. Interestingly, in a major upset the Kangaroos defeated the Eagles by ten points and Langer was forced to parade in Marsh’s kit during his training.

However, what makes his bets even more interesting is that Marsh’s cousin Brad Shepard plays for the Eagles as a defender.

“After Justin Langer’s West Coast Eagles loss to Mitch Marsh’s North Melbourne Kangaroos in AFL, coach was ‘kit up’ for Aussie’s warm-up on Tuesday,” CA captioned the video on Insta . He also used two hashtags- #WIvAUS and #AFLEaglesNorth in the post.

Australian all-rounder Dan Christian also highlighted his bets in the video when he was asked about Langer’s outfit.

“I am not sure of the exact bet. But it has something to do with the West Coast Eagles and North Melbourne Kangaroos games,” Christian said.

Australia’s next 4th T20I will take place on Thursday, 14 July at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia. The Kieron Pollard-led side have already taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the tournament and will be aiming for a whitewash.
