Media reports suggest that Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have not been on good terms since shoot days.
Over the past few days, rumours of a feud between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have generated a lot of buzz on the internet. While videos have surfaced showing the two of them arguing over a certain topic, the absence of their joint appearance during the film’s premiere or promotions fueled the rumours further. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Baldoni has hired PR manager Melissa Nathan, who previously represented actor Johnny Depp in his highly-publicised legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard. Nathan leads The Agency Group, which she recently launched after working for nearly a decade with crisis strategist Matthew Hiltzik.
The report added that the hiring of The Agency Group comes on the heels of all the negative headlines regarding allegations that he made against Lively, making her uncomfortable on the set. “There was a fracture between Baldoni and Lively in the post-production stage, wherein two different cuts of the movie emerged. Lively commissioned a cut of the movie from Deadpool & Wolverine’s editor Shane Reid. It was unclear if any of this cut was ultimately used in the final project, which was credited to editors Oona Flaherty and Robb Sullivan,” it stated.
The speculations come at a time when Baldoni has been repeatedly hailing Lively’s creative contribution to the film. He even revealed taking a step back at times to let her take charge. “Blake was involved in every aspect of the film once she came onto the project, from scenes and dialogue until the end, until now. She’s been involved in all of it, and she’s been a powerhouse of a creative and a wonderful collaborator,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
