Uttam Singh (3rd minute, 47th), Shardanand Tiwai (35th, 53rd), skipper Vivek Sagar Prasad (8th), Maninder Singh (27th) and Abhishek Lakda (55th) was the other scorer.
France are leading in Pool B with two wins in Pool B after beating Poland 7-1 on Thursday, while India are second.
India will take on Poland in their last pool match on Saturday.

Surprised by France on Wednesday, the Indians enjoyed the opening part of the possession and put pressure on Canada’s goal.
India’s efforts immediately bore fruit when Uttam slapped them from inside the circle to give them a 1-0 lead.
The hosts kept up the pressure and extended their lead in eight minutes through skipper Vivek, who was flicked after being fed by Maninder Singh.
Canada got back to back two penalty corners in the 11th minute but lost both as India took a 2-0 lead in the first quarter.
Soon after the resumption, India made it 3-0 in their favor when Sanjay scored from the spot after being awarded a stroke after a violation from his first penalty corner.
India increased the pressure and secured a penalty corner in the 21st minute but missed the opportunity.
Two minutes after half time, India’s player of the match Maninder recorded his name in the scoresheet, and slapped home with a reverse shot after two Canadian defenders dribbled to give the holders a 4-0 lead.
Canada took the goal back in the second quarter by scoring a penalty corner from Rupkanwar Dhillon.
Just after the change of ends, India earned their third penalty corner and Sanjay was once again on target.
The Indians continued their aggressive intent and secured two more penalty corners, the second of which was converted by Shardanand Tiwary with a powerful ground flick through the legs of Canadian goalkeeper Daniel Goodwin.
The hosts extended their lead 7-1 with another penalty corner in the 41st minute with the help of Arijit Hundal.
Uttam scored his second goal of the day with a brilliant field strike in the 47th minute.
Canada secured a penalty corner in the next minute but the Indian defense worked.
Thereafter, it was all India as Hundal scored two goals in quick succession to register a hat-trick.
A calm and calm Hundal slammed home first after being fed by Maninder and then found the Canadian net in the back with a swift, powerful hit from Sudeep’s assist.
Seven minutes after the hooter, Tiwary converted his second penalty corner of the day to turn it 11-1 in India’s favour.
Abhishek Lakra registered his name in the scoresheet by converting India’s eighth penalty corner in the 55th minute.
