After splitting up after six weeks of dating, American actress Julia Fox has now opened up about her relationship with rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. In an interview with The New York Times, Julia talks about trying her best to make the relationship work and has even called Kanye the “ultimate stunt queen.”
In interviews, Julia said that being with Kanye West was “kind of a crash course on how to become famous”. Opening up about their breakup, Julia suggested the rapper’s busy schedule probably played a factor in their split. Julia highlighted that she “tried her best to make it work” but was unsuccessful because she too had a “jam-packed life”. She further said that Kanye was a big personality and she could not fit such a person into her already busy life.
In the month that the two dated, Julia said that the relationship was not sustainable, while she also claimed that she lost 15 pounds or about 7 kilos during that time. Meanwhile Julia also recognized that there were elements in their relationship that were genuine. She denied that the two attracted attention and denied claims she had given an interview to be Kanye’s girlfriend. She further flagged such claims as ridiculous and said that she never signed a non-disclosure agreement.
However, Julia insisted that although she felt like Kanye’s girlfriend while she was with him, she also felt like she had been cast in the role of his girlfriend. He further described Kanye as the architect of their relationship and said that the experience was like a movie for him.
Thanking Kanye for the “priceless exposure” given to him in the fashion industry, Julia also branded her as the “ultimate stunt queen”. She said she doesn’t think Kanye will publicly disclose “exclusivity” about their romance. “I don’t think he’d want to open that door with me,” she said.
Julia, who met Kanye in 2020 after giving birth to son Valentino, underlined that being with Kanye wasn’t the most attractive thing she’s ever done. And Julia was hopeful that she would “ultimately surpass the Kanye narrative”.
