Jr NTR is about to turn a year older and fans of the RRR star have started celebrating. Not only is their favorite actor going to celebrate his special day soon, but Jr NTR’s Simhadri is all set to re-release in theaters in 4K technology. The film will be released in theaters on 20 May. Film critic Taran Adarsh announced the re-release of the film in theatres. He wrote, “NTR JR: ‘Simhadri’ returns to theatres… Jr NTR fans announce re-release of blockbuster hit Simhadri [in 4K] in style. Aakash-festival is indicated on 20 May 2023.”
SS Rajamouli directed Simhadri, which released in 2003. This was Rajamouli’s second directorial venture. The screenplay was written by V Vijayendra Prasad, who has also worked on Baahubali and RRR. Apart from Jr NTR, Simhadri also stars Bhumika Chawla, Ankita, Mukesh Rishi and Rahul Dev.
Simhadri was the most successful Telugu film of 2003. The picture was highly received by both critics and viewers.
Years later, Jr NTR and SS Rajamouli collaborated once again on RRR, which turned out to be one of the most successful films of 2022. Along with Jr NTR, the film also starred Ram Charan in the lead. Bollywood stars like Ajay Devgan and Alia Bhatt also appeared in cameos in RRR. The historical drama received critical acclaim not only at the All India level but also at the global level. The film was recognized at several international forums including the Golden Globes and the 95th Academy Awards. RRR’s song Natu Natu won the Oscar for Best Original Song. The film’s music was composed by MM Keeravani, who also wrote the score for the 2003 film Simhadri.
Talking about Jr NTR’s upcoming projects, fans are excited about the much awaited film NTR30 which was announced recently. This film is directed by Koratala Siva. It is set to hit the screens on April 5 next year. NTR30 also stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor.
