Jr NTR will reportedly do several reading sessions with director Ayan Mukerji to get into the skin of his character before the shoot.
After the success of RRR, Jr NTR is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films’ War 2. The Ayan Mukerji-directed film is expected to go on floors later this year and promises to showcase some high-octane action. scenery. There is a lot of expectation among the audience. As per an exclusive report in Pinkvilla, Jr NTR is all set to play a villain and has interesting shades which will add depth to his character. The report quoted a source as saying: “While the final script is still being developed, Jr NTR’s character in War 2 will have some negative aspects, which will add an interesting layer to the overall story.” The actor himself is thrilled about taking on the role and is exploring a range of emotions. “Additionally, Hrithik and Jr NTR will also do several reading sessions with Ayan to get into the groove of their characters before they start shooting for the film. Those who are on board with the project are extremely excited to see how it shapes up,” revealed the source.
Recently, Bollywood Hungama reported that the shooting of War 2 is set to begin in November, with Hrithik Roshan expected to join the production a month later. The publication also reported that Aditya Chopra was impressed with Ayan’s directorial potential after watching Brahmastra, and subsequently offered him a chance to make a stylish action film within the YRF Spy Universe. Ayan was thrilled with the opportunity to work with top industry professionals and is looking forward to learning from them.
War 2 is the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes previous films such as Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathan (2022) and the upcoming Tiger 3 (2023). The film will continue the story of Tiger 3 and eventually lead to the much-awaited clash between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in the film Tiger Vs Pathan. War, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, was released in 2019 and became the highest-grossing film of the year in India, earning over Rs 300 crore and achieving blockbuster status at the box office.
Meanwhile, Jr NTR is currently shooting for his upcoming untitled film – NTR 30. Helmed by Koratala Siva, it is anticipated to be a scintillating visual feast with an engrossing storyline. The project marks the reunion of NTR Jr, Man of Mass, and Koratala Siva, who directed him in Janata Garage. Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts are producing the film, with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram serving as the presenter. It is set for an all India release on 5th April next year and stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles.
