The excitement surrounding Devara: Part 1 has reached a fever pitch. Directed by Kortala Siva, the pan-Indian action drama is headlined by Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. Ahead of its release on September 27, the film has already achieved a new milestone. Devara: Part 1 has become the fastest Indian film to sell 15,000 tickets in the USA. That too, just days after the launch of pre-sale tickets. The makers shared the happy news by dropping Devara’s poster, featuring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, on Instagram. The side note read, “Fastest 15K+ Tickets sold for any Indian film in the USA.”
In addition to Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, Devara: Part 1 boasts a stellar cast including Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj and Shruthi Marathe. Reports suggest that the film’s runtime might stretch to around 3 hours and 10 minutes, though an official confirmation from the makers is still pending.
Recently, excitement further intensified with the release of the film’s third song, Daavudi, which features both Janhvi Kapoor and Jr NTR. Sharing a teaser on Instagram, Janhvi Kapoor captioned it, “Here’s the #Daavudi Video Song to keep you on track for the Blast on the Big Screens.”
Earlier, the makers of Devara: Part 1 released the tracks Fear Song and Chuttamallle, both of which were met with enthusiastic responses from fans. On Saif Ali Khan’s birthday, they also unveiled a sneak peek of his character, Bhaira. The teaser showcases a gripping fight sequence, with Saif Ali Khan looking intense and sharp as he runs through a jungle.
Looking ahead, Jr NTR is set to collaborate with director Prashanth Neel on his upcoming project tentatively titled NTR 31. Additionally, he will star in Ayan Mukerji’s much-anticipated film War 2, alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani.
Jahnvi, on the other hand, will also be seen in the romantic drama film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari opposite Varun Dhawan. Backed by Karan Johar, the film is directed by Shashank Khaitan.
