BJP president JP Nadda on Monday said that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Bommai today attended several official events, including the funeral of renowned Kannada litterateur Chandrashekhar Patil, precautionary doses of COVID vaccination, meeting on administrative reforms and meeting with a delegation of former vice-chancellors.

India is seeing a rise in the number of infections as the highly permeable Omicron version of the virus fuels the spread.
