Joju George starrer ‘Maduram’ is all set for an OTT release. Sharing a poster, the makers of the film revealed that Maduram will be streamed on SonyLiv. Although the release date has not been confirmed yet, but it is being said that the film will be released on December 24, a day before Christmas.
Apart from Joju, the Ahmed Khabir directorial also stars Shruti Ramachandran, Nikhila Vimal, Jagdish, Arjun Ashokan, Indran and Jafar Idukki in pivotal roles. The screenplay of the film was written by Aashiq Aimar, while Jitin Stanislaus handled the camera, who also shot for June.
June starring Rajisha Vijayan marked Ahmed Khabir’s debut in Mollywood. The film released in 2019 and Ahmed had an impressive debut with it. Jun was also a notable success at the box office. Joju George played a major role in the film.
Talking about Ahmed Khabir’s second and upcoming directorial, the film is expected to be a unique and untold story. The team had earlier released a catchy teaser of the film which features Joju and Shruti against the backdrop of Valentine’s Day.
Apart from Joju and Shruti as a couple, the story of the film also focuses on the life of a married couple, played by Arjun Ashokan and Nikhila Vimal.
Meanwhile, if Maduram is released on the due date, Joju’s film may clash with Tovino Thomas. On the same day as Maduram’s release, Minnal Murali, the first Malayalam superhero film starring Tovino Thomas, will stream on Netflix. The film is directed by Basil Joseph.
