South superstar Suriya needs no special introduction. Now, there is an update about his next project with star director Karthik Subbaraj. The film, tentatively titled Suriya 44, will reportedly go on floors in mid-June.
The makers have also roped in Joju George for a crucial role. Suriya 44 also stars Trisha Krishnan and Jaideep Ahlawat.
Joju George is expected to join Surya and team after wrapping up Thug Life, headlined by Kamal Haasan. Suriya 44 will mark the second collaboration between Joju George and Karthik Subbaraj. Previously, he worked in Dhanush’s Jagame Thandhiram.
The project is backed by Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films and Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.
Santhosh Narayanan has been given the charge to compose the music for the film. Santhosh Narayanan’s long association with Karthik Subbaraj is no secret.

Suriya is currently gearing up for his upcoming thriller, Kanguva, directed by Siva. The film is billed as a historical drama thriller with Suriya as a courageous warrior. Bobby Deol and Disha Patani to make their Tamil debut with this film. Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, and KS Ravikumar are also part of it.
