John Abraham will soon be seen in Vedaa.

John Abraham’s Vedaa will be out in theatres on August 15 this year.

John Abraham is making a comeback as a hero on screen with Vedaa. The film’s trailer was unveiled earlier today and has got everyone talking. John was last seen as the villain in Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s Pathaan. Now, as John returns as a hero, he has a special warning for the paparazzi.

He said, “Bohot time baad tum log ke saamne aaya hoon. Thoda mujhe saas lene do aur har cheez record mat karna. Maine sabka chehra dekha hai, main bhi dekhta hoon sabko. Kuch controversy nahi. Mere saath koi controversy nahi (I have come before you after a long time. Let me breathe and don’t record everything. I have seen all your faces. No controversies with me).”

Meanwhile, the trailer for Vedaa is out now and promises an unforgettable ride. John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh lead the charge in this electrifying action-thriller, where they must fight against all odds to survive. The film promises to keep one on their edge. Sharing the trailer, Sharvari took to her Instagram handle and wrote, “Justice. Equality. Liberty. A battle that Abhimanyu and Vedaa will fight to the end. #Vedaa trailer out now! In cinemas this Independence Day in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu!”

The makers of Vedaa recently revealed that they are still awaiting clearance from the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC). On Thursday, the director of the film, Nikkhil Advani, took to his Instagram handle to share the same and urged the authorities to resolve this “unusual delay”. “We, the producers of Vedaa feel compelled to share with our fans and supporters that despite our best efforts, we are still to secure a clearance and certification from the CBFC of India,” the statement read.

“August 15th is a special date that we are fortunate to find ourselves in a position to bring our film to fans of John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani, who have supported our previous releases Satyamev Jayate and Batla House on the same date,” the statement continued. Vedaa producers further requested the concerned authority to look into the matter and resolve it on priority.

“Vedaa is a powerful, out-and-out entertaining film, inspired by current events. We believe it deserves to reach its audience. It is our sincere endeavour that we will be able to keep our appointment with you,” makers concluded.

Besides John Abraham, Vedaa will also star Abhishek Banerjee and Sharvari Wagh in a key role. Tamannaah Bhatia will also feature in the movie. Vedaa is scheduled to hit theatres on August 15, 2024. This means that it will clash at the box office with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2.
