Dr. Biden spent the morning delivering a speech at the 125th anniversary convention of the National Parent Teachers Association emphasizing more gun control measures, while the president hosted an event on climate change.

As she also answered questions on her upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia, the First Lady took a jibe at the President.

‘We have to go!’ They said.

About an hour after rising from the South Lawn, the Bidens landed at Rehoboth after disembarking from Marine Forest, and then a minute later Willow was being chased by a colleague who was carrying her in his carrier.

The president and first lady have opted to spend most of the weekend in Delaware—and as the weather warms, more time is spent at their beach house near Cape Henlopen State Park in the northern part of Rehoboth Beach.

Earlier this month, a plane flying over the airspace near the Biden residence prompted the Secret Service to temporarily remove the president from the property.

“A small private plane entered restricted airspace, all indications are wrong and precautionary measures have been taken,” an official told CNN about the incident. ‘There was no threat to the President or his family.’

That visit was to mark the first lady’s 71st birthday.

This time, the President and First Lady will have a three-day weekend to enjoy, as Biden signed a bill last year to make Juneteenth – the official end of slavery in the United States – a federal holiday.
