The Jammu and Kashmir Police is planning to seize around 74 vehicles, 5 houses, 6 shops, land and cash under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). On Wednesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police announced the news on Twitter.

“The PHQ has approved the seizure of two vehicles Maruti Alto K-10 bearing registration number JK05G-5626 and Alto-K-10 bearing registration number JK21C-8461, which were used by the OGW for terrorist activities.”

“With the order to confiscate these 2 vehicles, the PHQ has so far seized 74 vehicles (mostly consisting of 04 wheelers and 02 wheelers), 05 houses, 06 shops, land and cash under section 25 of Illegal Activities (Prevention). ) Act,” the Jammu and Kashmir Police said in a series of tweets today.

As per the police investigation, these vehicles were used by the OGW of Lashkar, identified as Nisar Ahmed Bhat and Arif Mir. The evidence collected during the course of investigation confirms that both these vehicles were used for bank robbery and this was done in terms of Section 2(g) r/w Section 25 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) “Terrorism”. of income”. Act 1967 and accordingly were liable to be forfeited in the said case.
