Operation In Progress

An unidentified terrorist was killed during an ongoing anti-terrorist operation in the Ketsun area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The operation, launched by a joint team of police and army personnel, was initiated following credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. According to sources, the operation commenced with a cordon and search effort after forces received specific information about the movement of the terrorists. During the initial exchange of fire, one terrorist was neutralized, while efforts continue to ascertain his identity.

The group involved in this encounter is believed to be the same one that opened fire on an army camp along Panhaar road in Bandipora on November 1st. Intelligence reports indicated that the group, suspected to consist of two terrorists from the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit, was attempting to cross over into the Lolab area of Kupwara.

As the operation unfolded, one terrorist was confirmed dead, while another remains engaged in gunfire with the security forces. The situation is still developing, with authorities urging residents to remain vigilant as operations continue in the area.
