J&K LG approves for 15% quota in police force for women. India News – Times of India

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha Approved 15% reservation for women in non-gazetted police posts on Monday. Sinha announced this National Girl Child Day and insisted that “this is just the beginning”.
At present, without any special reservation, women constitute 3% of the total strength of J&K Police and the number will increase after the implementation of reservation in future recruitments. “Approved 15% reservation for women in non-gazetted posts of @JmuKmrPolice. This is just the beginning,” Sinha said in a tweet.
