As the Jharsuguda bypoll is coming closer, the political temperature is rising. BJD, BJP and Congress are all intensifying their campaigns to secure the assembly seat.
Heavy campaigners of every party are working to woo the voters. BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will campaign in Jharsuguda on May 7.
The political atmosphere in Jharsuguda is heating up as all the three major parties – BJP, BJD and Congress – are intensifying their campaigns across the region.
BJP’s star campaigners and national spokesperson Manoj Tiwari, Suresh Pujari and other senior leaders are campaigning in Jharsuguda, wooing voters through roadshows starting from BTM Road and covering various places.
Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan will join the campaign on Sunday, which may also be joined by Union ministers Ashwini Vaishnav and Bishweshwar Tudu.
The campaign will be intensified in Jharsuguda. All star campaigners and senior party leaders will be in the fray. BJP State General Secretary Prithviraj Harichandan said, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is going to come on May 7. We have plans for various public meetings and road shows.
The ruling BJD is also intensifying its campaign in Jharsuguda, with BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik expected to campaign on Sunday.
Patnaik will address public meetings in different blocks of Jharsuguda and the party has prepared a roadmap for his successful tour.
The BJD veteran is already campaigning in Jharsuguda, focusing on the importance of women voters in the bypoll.
Senior BJD leader Debi Prasad Mishra said, “People love Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. They want him to come here. We have informed the Chief Minister in the interest of the people.”
BJD candidate Dipali Das said, “We are reaching out to people with various welfare programs of the government. We are hopeful that they will keep faith in us and we will do well in the bypolls.”
Meanwhile, PCC President Sharat Patnaik is campaigning for Congress candidate Tarun Pandey in Sadar Block.
