A unique case of getting a fetus from the stomach of a one-year-old girl has come to light in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The parents had taken him from Giridih to a private hospital in Ranchi. During sonography and MRI examination, it was found to be a fetus in her abdomen.
The girl was crying in pain. She was rushed to the hospital and the fetus was removed through the operation. According to the team of Dr. Alok Chandra Prakash, who performed the surgery, the girl is now completely healthy. He has also been discharged from the hospital.
Doctors say that when there are two embryos in the womb, one embryo is unable to develop and sticks in the body of the other. There have been 200 such cases in the world. Five-six such cases had been reported in India earlier as well. According to Dr. Alok Chandra, in medical language it is called ‘fits in fitu’ i.e. another fetus inside the embryo. Through the operation, the embryo stuck in the stomach of the girl child of Giridih has been removed.

The victim girl was suffering from flatulence. Because of this, he was also in pain. The doctors removed the fetus of about one and a half kilograms from the girl’s stomach.
