Jharkhand: Soren government ordered investigation of disproportionate assets of ministers of previous government led by Raghubar Das

Meanwhile, the Hemant Soren government has taken a big decision regarding the previous BJP government, due to which the politics of Jharkhand has intensified. The Jharkhand government has ordered the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to probe the alleged disproportionate assets of ministers of the previous government led by BJP’s Raghubar Das.

According to the information released by the Soren government, an inquiry has been ordered against five ministers of the cabinet of the former government’s CM Raghubar Das in an ongoing case in the Jharkhand High Court. This case is of the year 2020. In which a public interest litigation was filed in the case of disproportionate assets in respect of the applicant Pankaj Kumar Yadav Vs. State of Jharkhand and former ministers of the cabinet of the former government of the state.

In the context of this petition, the state government has ordered an ACB inquiry on Tuesday. Now the Anti-Corruption Bureau can crack down on five ministers of the Raghubar Das government in this entire matter. In its order, the government has cited the petition of petitioner Pankaj Yadav in the year 2020. In the said petition, Pankaj Kumar Yadav had filed a public interest litigation on January 28, 2020, against former ministers Neelkanth Munda, Randhir Singh, Neera Yadav, Lewis Marandi and Amar Bauri seeking investigation of disproportionate assets.

Petitioner Pankaj Kumar told that the demand for investigation of disproportionate assets against five former ministers of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das government was made from the Jharkhand High Court. In this petition, in the 2014 assembly elections, the candidates in the affidavit given to the Election Commission during the nomination had said that their assets would increase from 200 percent to 1200 percent.
