Mother Mamta Devi said that when she went to see her newborn in the Model Maternal and Child Health (MCH) ward of Giridih Hospital, she had suffered a deep wound on her knee after being munched on by rats. Mamta Devi said that I was scared after seeing the wound on the knee of the girl.

Giridih Deputy Commissioner Naman Priyesh Lakra said that a letter has been sent to the Additional Chief Secretary, Jharkhand Health Department for action against the doctor on duty at Giridih Sadar Hospital.
