Encounter broke out between police and PLFI militants in Jharkhand’s Khunti. Notorious PLFI militant Laka Pahan is reported to have been killed in the encounter. The encounter took place in the Indipeedi Kota forest of Murhu police station area. The PLFI Naxalites started firing after forming a team along with Khunti Superintendent of Police Murhu station in-charge. The police retaliated in which Laka Pahan was killed, the Khunti police had sent a proposal to the government for a reward of 5 lakhs on him. However, the prize has not yet been announced. Let us tell you that more than 40 cases are registered against Laka in nearby districts including Khunti.
