A dose of Covishield worked wonders on a 55-year-old man who had been bedridden for five years due to an accident. Doctors say that after taking the first dose of the anti-coronavirus drug, he started talking and walking. The government has formed a three-member medical team for its investigation.

Doctors said that Dularchand Munda, a resident of village Salgadih in Uttasara panchayat area in Petarwar block of Bokaro district, was in bed after the accident that happened five years ago. He had not woken up for a year due to a problem in his spine. He could neither walk nor speak.

4753 new cases registered in Jharkhand
On Thursday, 4,753 new cases of corona were registered in the state. Of the new cases, 1280 were reported from East Singhbhum, 1268 from Ranchi, 321 from Hazaribagh, 229 from Deoghar and 191 from Bokaro. Three patients from East Singhbhum, two from Ranchi and one each from Bokaro, Hazaribagh and Seraikela succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours, the bulletin said.
