Regarding this whole matter, Gumla Superintendent of Police HP Janardan said that in a fierce encounter with Naxalites in the forests of Kochagani in Sadar police station area of Gumla district on Thursday morning, security forces killed Naxalite Buddheshwar Oraon, a rewarded Naxalite worth Rs 15 lakh.

He said that this dreaded Naxal was killed by the police in an encounter between the police and the Naxalites at around 8.30 am today in Kochagani forest of Gumla Sadar police station area. Janardan said that the slain Naxalite is Buddheshwar Oraon, on whom the government had placed a reward of Rs 15 lakh. This is a great achievement for the police because under its protection the activities of Naxalites were going on in the area.
