Scope

A 25-year-old clerk working in the Jharkhand Forest Department in West Singhbhum district was shot dead by Naxals on Tuesday on suspicion of being a police informer. Superintendent of Police Ajay Linda said that the Maoists also set an earth moving machine on fire.


After killing the youth, the Maoists left a pamphlet near his body, which said that he had paid the price for being a police informer. Superintendent of Police Linda said the investigation into the incident was underway.


This is the second such murder incident within a week in Goilkera police station area on Tuesday. Earlier on December 28, in an incident, Naxalites killed a villager by pretending to be a police informer.
