Jharkhand: Idols of Hindu gods and goddesses found in Charva dam, people started rituals

Large quantities of Hindu deities have been recovered from Charva Dam in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. As soon as the news of the idol being found from the dam spread, there was panic in the area. The people who reached the spot have also built a temporary temple there, as soon as the information was received, heavy police force has been deployed in the entire area.

Police say that among the idols recovered from the dam, about two feet tall white stone idols of Shiva Linga, Lord Hanuman, Lord Vishnu, Goddess Parvati and Nandi have been found.

People started worshiping
As soon as the news of the idols spread, a large number of people started reaching near the dam and started worshiping there by putting up temporary tents. On the other hand, Pelawal police station in-charge Abhishek Kumar Singh says that a huge amount of idols were stolen from the temples of the area, suspecting that these are the same idols which were hidden in the dam to sell. He said that all the nearby police stations have been informed and it is being ascertained whether any of the idols which were stolen are present in the recovered idols.
