Police said that the skeleton of the deceased was recovered from a well in the Naxal-affected area of ​​Dumaria police station area. He had gone missing on March 16, but his family had not lodged any complaint with the police.

Senior Superintendent of Police M. Tamil Vanan said investigation was launched on a rumor and it was found that he had gone missing after a quarrel with one of his wife’s brothers. He told that he had a fight with his brother-in-law regarding the third marriage. He said that initially Ladoo’s family was hesitant to talk about him but the police took his mother Nandi into confidence and based on her statement a case was registered.

His brother-in-law and three others were apprehended on Friday, following which Haiburu’s skeleton was recovered from a Naxal-affected spot about 10 km from his house in Madotolia village under Ghorbanda police station of Ghatsila sub-division, the official said.

When the police interrogated Ladu for years, the matter came to light. Ladu was accused of assault by his first wife. Ladoo had married three women, but his behavior was fine with two, but did not get along with one. For this, a panchayat was called in the house of the third wife and Ladu was picked up by the maidens from the panchayat itself and then murdered.
