A Jharkhand Police official said that this case is from Guhia village of Seraikela district. Here 35-year-old Pushpa lived with her husband Sudhir Mahato. On Wednesday (February 2) evening, when Sudhir asked Pushpa for money to drink alcohol, she refused. Sudhir got furious at this and crushed the woman to death with a stone.

According to the information, after getting information about the matter, the police team reached the spot. During that time accused Sudhir was found sitting near the dead body of his wife. He was arrested. Investigation has revealed that Sudhir and Pushpa used to fight often due to their drinking habit, but on Wednesday evening the matter escalated so much that he killed his wife.

The police also interacted with Sudhir’s family members during the investigation. He told that he is mentally deranged. He was also undergoing treatment in Ranchi a few months back.
