A boat capsized due to flood in Sahibganj, Jharkhand. The incident is of Sol Bandha village of Jeerwabari police station area. It is being told that there were about 20 people in the boat, out of which three to four people are still missing.
However, only one person, 60-year-old Ramashish Yadav, has been reported missing from the administration. Deputy Commissioner Ramniwas Yadav, Superintendent of Police Anuranjan Kispotta says that a rescue operation is being conducted to find the person.
The incident happened at 7:30 pm on Monday
According to locals, the people of Sol Bandha village near the sewerage plant were going to their homes by boat at around 7:30 pm on Monday. During this, due to the darkness in the flood water, the boat collided with a pillar and overturned. There were 20 people in the boat when the accident happened. Some people came out by swimming, but it is claimed that three to four people are still missing.
Not getting information of missing people
Deputy Commissioner Ram Niwas Yadav, who came to take stock of the incident, says that officially only one person is reported missing. The people in the village were from different places. Therefore, information about other people is not available.
