The Jharkhand BJP on Wednesday expressed displeasure over the alleged inaction of the police in arresting those involved in an attack on a leader of the party’s tribal wing in East Singhbhum district.

Jamshedpur Mahanagar Samiti president of Jharkhand BJP camp Gunjan Yadav said that the state police has failed to nab the accused involved in the attack on Ram Singh Munda, media in-charge of BJP’s Scheduled Tribes Morcha in Jharkhand.

On November 2, Ram Singh Munda was suddenly attacked by a group of miscreants in Sopodera under Parsudih police station area when he was going to meet Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda.

President Gunjan Yadav said a delegation of local BJP leaders met East Singhbhum Senior Superintendent of Police M Tamilavanan and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

He said that the party would agitate if the arrest was not made at the earliest. The ST Morcha leader is undergoing treatment at the Tata Main Hospital (TMH) here.
