JEE Main 2023: 9.4 lakh candidates have registered for the engineering entrance exam this year. The exam will be conducted in two shifts

National Testing Agency (NTA) all set to do Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 Session 2 starts tomorrow 6th April. The exam will run till April 12, while April 13 and 15 have been kept as reserve dates. This year 9.4 lakh candidates have registered for the engineering entrance exam. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift is from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift is from 3 pm to 6 pm.

“Candidates shall appear at their own cost at the center on the date and shift as mentioned in their admit card issued by NTA. The choice of cities for center and shift given in the admit card will not be changed under any circumstances,” the information brochure reads.

JEE Main 2023 Session 2: What to Carry?

The agency released the JEE Main session 2 admit card on Tuesday, March 4. All the registered candidates can download the admit card from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main session 2 admit card will contain name, application number, date of birth, signature, exam date, photograph and exam center details.

Candidates have to download or print their admit card from NTA website and show it in the examination hall. Candidates will not be allowed to appear in the examination without admit card as per rules. In case of any error or discrepancy in the admit card, candidates are advised to immediately contact the NTA officials for correction of details.

Furthermore, those who do not have a valid admit card and an authorized photo identity card will not be allowed to take the exam under any circumstances.

JEE Main 2023 Session 2: Exam Day Guidelines

Students are advised to report at the examination center two hours before the commencement of the examination. All the appearing candidates should take their seats immediately after entering the examination hall. Candidates who report late to the center cannot appear for the examination. A seat displaying the roll number will be allotted to each candidate. They have to find and sit on their allotted seats only.

Candidates should ensure that the question paper on the computer is as per the subject indicated in the admit card of the candidate. Students may contact the Center Superintendent or Room Invigilator for any technical assistance, first aid or other information.
