JEE Main 2023: Physics part was easy according to a large number of students. Questions were spread across all subjects like mechanics, waves and modern physics

Following yesterday’s trend, the overall paper of JEE Main 2023 was easy to moderate on the second day of the exam, students claimed. Ajay Sharma, National Academic Director, Engineering, Aakash BYJU’S said that while the Mathematics paper was calculative and lengthy, the Physics part was easy and Chemistry was of moderate level.

Physics part was easy according to a large number of students. The questions were spread across all subjects like mechanics, waves and modern physics. The optics part had little contribution to this shift. The paper also included match type questions. The paper was formula based and the students were able to attempt the questions easily.

Chemistry paper was of moderate level Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 Session 1 Day 2. Questions from Physical Chemistry were less as compared to Organic Chemistry. There were questions from chapters like coordination chemistry, atomic structure, thermodynamics, redox reactions, chemical kinetics, hydrocarbons, aldehydes and ketones, while questions from chemistry chapter in everyday life were conspicuously absent, Sharma said.

“The Mathematics paper was calculative and lengthy. Questions were asked from Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, 3D and Algebra. Around four to five questions were from calculus, and three to four questions were from coordinate geometry and binomial theorem. Through mock test students were able to attempt question practice. Overall, the students found the Mathematics paper very long but not difficult.

on the first even on exam day Most of the students claimed that the Physics part was the easiest, the Chemistry paper was of easy to moderate level, while Mathematics was of moderate level, he said. Sharma had said, “Chemistry was memory based while Mathematics was calculative but students were able to complete the paper in a given time.”
