The trailer of the series takes us on a journey filled with fun, drama and emotions, showcasing the lives of seven childhood friends who are deeply connected despite being separated from each other. By experiencing life together, falling in love, making mistakes, and even getting their hearts broken, they learn that even the best of friendships and relationships can’t be flawless. Rishabh (Suhail Nayyar) proposes to his longtime girlfriend Lavanya (Tamannah Bhatia). Their school friends attend the wedding ceremony, but complications arise and the relationship takes an interesting turn.

Tamannaah Bhatia said, “My time working on Zee Karda was absolutely incredible, for me, the show was the closest character I have ever come across that matched my own personality. Being a true Mumbai girl, this I grew up in a vibrant city.” The friendships I formed in school were unlike any other, and I believe these types of bonds are irreplaceable. The show really captures the essence of nostalgia, reflecting the dynamism and experiences that I best understand from the city I belong to.”

Talking about the series, producer Dinesh Vijan said, “Zee Karda’s biggest strength is its differentiated appeal in the digital landscape. While Prime Video has produced several memorable shows, Zee Karda speaks to the young adult audience who are Rarely seen in the web space. In spirit, this show reminds me of Cocktail, the film that put Maddock on the map. This funny, fresh and feel-good story will leave a mark in the hearts of today’s youth.

Writer and director Arunima Sharma shared, “Jee Kardaa explores the difficulties and intricacies of navigating romance, friendship and adulthood. I think the audience will be able to relate to it. Instead of presenting an idealized vision of adulthood, we wanted to create a drama that portrayed the gritty realities of life. I believe the audience will identify with the characters and their journey and will be comforted to know that they are not alone in their feelings. I am very excited about this show with Prime Video and Maddock Films. Prime Video is known for providing thought-provoking and engaging stories, and I think our show fits the bill.
