Candidates can download their JEE Advanced 2024 admit card at jeeadv.ac.in from today, May 17. The exam will be conducted on May 26 in two shifts

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will issue the admit card for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024 today, May 17. Once it is released, candidates who have registered for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam can download their hall tickets from the main site at jeeadv.ac.in. According to reports, the JEE Advanced admit card will be released around 10 am.

This highly anticipated exam acts as a stepping stone to prominent engineering degrees at IITs and other top institutes across the country. For those who have worked hard to prepare for the exam, downloading the admit card is an important step.

According to the official schedule, the JEE Advanced exam will be administered on May 26 in two shifts. The JEE Advanced Paper 1 will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon and the Advanced Paper 2 is scheduled to take place from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Days after the exam, the provisional answer key will be issued on June 2, 2024. Additionally, the final answer key as well as the result are expected to be declared on June 9, 2024.

Step 1: Go to the official website at jeeadv.ac.in

Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the ‘JEE Advanced 2024 admit card’ link when activated.

Step 3: As a new window opens, enter the login details in the space provided and click on submit.

Step 4: The JEE Advanced 2024 admit card will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Check and download the hall ticket.

JEE Advanced 2024: Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The JEE Advanced is a computer-based test (CBT) divided into two three-hour papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both the exam papers will cover subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.

Here is a brief overview of the exam format:

–– The papers will have a combination of numerical answer type (NAT) questions, multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and matching-type questions.

–– In the MCQs section, three marks will be awarded for the correct answer and -1 for the wrong answer.

–– For NAT questions, three marks will be given for the correct answer and no negative marking for the wrong answer.

–– In the matching type questions, one mark for correct match and no negative mark for incorrect response.
