Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht in Amritsar has said that every Sikh should try to possess a modern licensed weapon. He said this in a message issued to the sangat on the Guruta Gaddi Diwas of Guru Hargobind Sahib, the founder of Miri-Piri.

Jathedar Harpreet Singh said that Guru Hargobind Sahib fought four wars and won all four. Now the time has come that the Sikhs should become strong by reciting the bani and every Sikh should become armed. He said that Guru Hargobind Singh’s message of Miri-Piri is effective even today. Sikhs should chant the name of Gurus along with practicing latest Gatka, Fencing, Archery.
