Janhvi Kapoor praises Urfi Javed’s fashion sense
Janhvi Kapoor was seen indulging into ask me anything session with fans ahead of the trailer launch event
Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Mr & Mrs Mahi trailer has finally been released. Well, ahead of the trailer launch, the actress indulged in an Ask Me session where fans were seen asking her many questions. But one question grabbed everyone’s attention. A fan asked her if she was trying to copy Zendaya. Janhvi admitted that yes she is.
The actress replied, “Yes, I think I am very heavily inspired by what she did for her ‘Challengers’ and ‘Dune’ promotions. And not just her, I think, even Uorfi (Javed) is creative with her fashion. I feel like as actors we should all encourage method dressing or dressing similar to the characters when you are promoting your films. I have never really done it except for ‘Dhadak’. When I saw her doing it so well and dress in accordance to the theme of the film, I realise that, as actors, it sets a good amount of attention to how we look and how we dress. And, if I can use that to bring attention back to my film, then why not? And Mother Zendaya showed us the way and showed us how to do it really well. It is definitely inspired, and I am just trying to follow in her footsteps.”
Urfi Javed is known for her bizarre, unique, and bold sartorial choices. Each time she gets papped, her outfit grabs everyone’s attention. Recently, she stunned in a magical butterfly-themed gown, when she was spotted in town. The video went instantly viral. Urfi wore a flowing black gown adorned with leaves and flowers, from which tiny butterfly motifs would shake off whenever she clapped, creating a mesmerising effect. She looked pretty as she struck her poses.
Coming to Mr and Mrs Mahi trailer, it showcases Rajkummar Rao as Mahendra (Mahi), a former aspiring cricketer who now sees potential in Janhvi’s character, also named Mahi, a doctor. Encouraging her to pursue cricket, the trailer provides a captivating look into a story filled with dreams, ambitions, and the imperfectly perfect love story of Mahendra and Mahima that is sure to captivate audiences.
The film is releasing on May 31.
