Janhvi Kapoor is all set to star in Ulajh with Roshan Mathew
Janhvi Kapoor, Roshan Mathew and Gulshan Devaiah’s Ulajh is all set to release on August 2.
Actor Roshan Mathew who rose to fame with Alia Bhatt starrer Darlings, recently opened up on working in the highly anticipated Ulajh. The actor would be seen sharing screen space with Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah in the film. Recently, in an interview he opened up on working with them, his shooting experience and all things in between.
In an interview with India Today, Roshan shared, “Janhvi and Gulshan are my co-actors in it. I have most of my scenes with Janhvi, and Gulshan is someone I have a lot of respect for. I feel like I just got a taste of him, and I want to do another project with him. Janhvi was an absolute delight to work with because she is so committed to getting the best version of the scene out there.”
He further added, “With each day, with each moment we were playing out, she wanted to get better. She’s constantly looking for ‘what else can we do’ to make this better and make it more powerful, and that’s a good energy to work with.”
Earlier in a statement, Janhvi Kapoor expressed her excitement on being a part of Ulajh. The actress shared, “When I was approached with the script of Ulajh, it instantly attracted me because as an actor, I am constantly looking for scripts that make me break out of my comfort zone and portraying a character based in the celebrated world of the Indian Foreign Services was just that. Just as the name of the film suggests, my character and the story, have so many layers, emotions, and parameters, which are challenging and exciting at the same time. I am thrilled for the audience to see me in this new role envisioned by Sudhanshu, who has such a fresh approach towards dealing with this genre. I am also looking forward to work with such talented co-actors and a development studio like Junglee Pictures for the first time.”
Sources close to the production house shared that Ulajh follows the journey of a young IFS officer, belonging to a prominent family of patriots, who gets embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy while far from her home turf, at a career-defining post. Written by Parveez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Saria, with dialogues by Atika Chohan, this new-age thriller promises to be unlike anything else audiences have seen in this genre.
The film also stars Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Sachin Khedekar, Rajendra Gupta and Jitendra Joshi in pivotal roles. The film releases on August 2.
