Jammu: The Indian Army on Friday approached students from disadvantaged groups and distributed stationery items to them as part of the program.Bache Padhe-Desh Badhe‘ in a forward post Shahpuri NS tail district of Jammu And Kashmir.
PRO Defense Udhampur said, “An initiative taken by the Artillery Unit of the Indian Army Kamsari The aim of supporting and motivating students from humble backgrounds was to involve children in educational and creative activities under ‘Bachelor Padhe-Desh Badhe’ in Poonch.
“A total of 28 students from classes 1 to 12 participated in the camp and were given stationery items,” he said.
“The students expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for helping all sections of the society in the remote areas along the Line of Control (LoC),” an army spokesperson said.
“It will go a long way in winning the hearts and minds of the local people,” said PRO Defense.
