- The Indian Army has arrested two active terrorists in a joint operation with the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
- Informed the police that they are associated with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba in Baramulla
- Police have registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of the law.
Jammu and Kashmir News: The Indian Army in a joint operation with the Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two active terrorists belonging to the banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Baramulla, informed police officials on Friday (June 10).
“Acting immediately on specific information, Police along with Army arrested 2 active terrorists of banned terrorist organization Lashkar, identified as Irshad Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Rehman Mir (a classified terrorist) and Zahid Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmed. Both are residents of Nehalpora Pattan area. Baramulla,” an official release said.
Incriminating material, ammunition including 2 Chinese pistols, 18 live cartridges and 2 magazines were recovered from them.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections.
Further investigation is being done in the matter.
