Based on this, the Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police along with 34 Rashtriya Rifles of the Army and CRPF launched a joint search operation by cordoning off the area. During this, terrorists hiding in a house opened fire on the search party. This confirmed the hiding of the terrorists. He was then asked to surrender.

Even after giving a chance several times, he did not agree and kept firing. Ultimately, the encounter started with the retaliation of the soldiers. Initially one terrorist was killed. After this the terrorists kept changing the location, due to which the encounter continued till late evening. It succeeded in killing two more terrorists.

Police have confirmed that three terrorists were killed in the encounter. As the encounter continued for a long time, it is being said that the terrorists had a large quantity of arms and bullets. Security forces have still cordoned off the entire area. People have been asked not to go till the encounter site. It is feared that the ammunition of the terrorists would be on the spot, which could lead to the accident.
