The cloud burst at around 4 am in the Gunti forest area of Thathri belt, resulting in heavy floods, he said.
No casualty was reported in the incident, an official said.
Officials said some vehicles were stuck in the mud and the highway was blocked for some time, but now it has been restored for traffic.
