JAIPUR: JMC-Greater mayor Somya Gurjar and commissioner Mahendra Soni held a review meeting of all zone deputy commissioners and headquarters deputy commissioners and executive engineers on Tuesday and instructed them to strengthen the arrangements related to sanitation, electricity and sewerage.
“During monsoon, problems of cleanliness and sewerage of the city should be solved immediately. For this, all the deputy commissioners should work on a plan so that the roads are garbage-free,” said Gurjar.
A detailed discussion was also held on door-to-door garbage collection being done in Murlipura and Malviya Nagar zones, the pace of installation of RFID cards and issuing tenders for other zones at the earliest.
“Reserve waste collection vehicles should be installed in zones where tenders have not been issued so that the cleaning system can get momentum. The work of issuing land deeds under the statewide campaign should be increased,” said the commissioner.
The mayor also instructed officials to remove encroachments and stressed on increasing revenue earning. The commissioner directed the executive engineers responsible for lighting to conduct rounds daily and repair wires lying open in parks so that there is no loss of life. The commissioner also directed the team to repair uprooted electric poles and faulty road lights.
Along with this, instructions have been given to remove illegal hoardings, banners, posters on the route related to Invest Rajasthan Summit as well as to register FIR against those who put up illegal hoardings, banner posters.
