Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi become witnesses in the case against conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will soon seize gifts given to Bollywood actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi by millionaire thug Sukesh Chandrashekhar. ED sources said that since some pets were also gifted to the actress, in such cases, they attach property of equal value.

A highly placed source told IANS that Nora Fatehi told him during interrogation that the officers were free to confiscate the BMW car gifted by Sukesh Chandrasekhar.

Sources also said that a similar case was with Jacqueline as well and she too has told the same to the ED officials.

“Jacqueline told us that she does not know about Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s background and is ready to cooperate with us in the process of confiscation of gifts given by Sukesh,” the source said.

This attachment processing will be done under section 5 of PMLA. The source confirmed to IANS that they were about to confiscate the gifts and other things given to Jacqueline and Nora, but they had to file a charge sheet and due to this the work got delayed.

“We also arrested Pinky Irani. It kept us busy. Filing of charge sheets, recording of statements of fresh arrestees was a time-consuming exercise. We had to arrest seven more people in this case who are currently lodged in Tihar Jail. Then we have to record their testimony as well, so it may take some time.”

Both the actresses are presently witnesses in the case and they have recorded their testimony in the PMLA case of 200 crores.

When asked why she was not made an accused in the case, the source said that both the actresses were not aware of Sukesh’s criminal background.

“We have to see whether the person receiving the gift is aware of the source of the money, whether it is a part of the proceeds of the offence. We have found that Jacqueline and Nora were not aware of this.”
