In 16 matches for CSK in this year’s IPL, the right-hander Faf managed to score 633 runs and finished the tournament as the second highest run-scorer behind his teammate. Ruturaj Gaikwadi.
Faf du Plessis brought his A-game to score 86 runs and helped CSK post a total of 192/3 against KKR. Openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis added 50 runs in the first six overs. During this, Gaikwad surpassed KL Rahul to become the highest run-scorer in this year’s IPL. Sunil Narine provided the much-needed breakthrough for KKR as he dismissed Gaikwad (32) in the 9th over to end the opening stand of 61 runs.

However, Narine was once again in action as he dismissed Uthappa in the 14th over to reduce CSK to 124/2.
After this Moeen Ali came out to bat and he played the same way and the KKR bowlers kept looking for answers. In the last three overs, CSK managed to add 39 more runs, taking the score past 190. Moin was dismissed for 37 not out from Dhoni.
