Mumbai Indians dismissed Kiran More
Sri Rajendra High School and Aspire International School won the MI Junior Nagpur Championship in Under-15 Girls, Under-14 Boys and Under-16 Boys categories
Final of Nagpur leg of month-long MI Junior Inter-School Cricket Tournament played at Central Railway Cricket Maidan, Ajni on Saturday. Performing a grand double, Shree Rajendra High School, Kothi Road won the Girls Under-15 and Boys Under-14 City Championship titles, while Aspire International School, Wardha Road won the Boys Under-16 trophy.
The teams received their winning trophies from former Indian cricketer and current Mumbai Indians scout Mr. Kiran More at the Central Railway Ground on Saturday.
The 3rd edition of the MI Junior Interschool Cricket Tournament which was played at some of the prestigious grounds of the city saw more than 60 teams comprising around 1000 boys and girls compete in three age groups of Boys U14, Girls U15 and Boys U16 had attended.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kiran More, former Indian cricketer and Mumbai Indians scout, said, “It is extremely encouraging to see the response and enthusiasm of the schools to participate in the tournament. Nurturing young talent is of utmost importance and I believe MI Junior provides them with a competitive and professional platform to showcase their skills. I congratulate all the winners of the Nagpur leg and hope they make a mark and earn more laurels.”
The winning teams are now ready to train under the guidance of a member of the Mumbai Indians coaching team and gain invaluable knowledge.
