Israel’s largest and fanciest designer mall, with a piazza built as a replica of the famous Venetian resort in Las Vegas, opened this week outside Maleh Adumim near Jerusalem.
DCT is hosting a grand opening ceremony on 9–11 August from 3:00 pm, with a wide range of performances scheduled throughout the day.

Mall CEO Panina Revach said all stores are for home products, although there is a hall dedicated to clothing stores that will be opened in a few weeks.
“People in the center of the country ask me why are we building such a mall near Jerusalem,” Revach said. “In the center, they have big malls where people can come and enjoy, but nothing on that level in Jerusalem. 1.5 million people live within a 35-minute drive, but there’s no big mall here The people of Tel Aviv say they will never head out to a mall near Jerusalem, but once they see the place, they will change their mind.
DCCity is owned by Kaas Investment Group, which specializes in setting up boutique complexes in Israel and Georgia. The company is headed by Enoch Kass, an Orthodox Jew.
Rewatch said a covered amusement park named Magic Casas will be opened in the coming weeks with about 40 establishments next to the mall.
“The entire area of Misor Adumim will be replaced by the mall,” Revach said. “It is not just another mall. We have all the big names, including many international brands that don’t have storefronts anywhere else in Israel. We have home design stores that have already opened here and have closed their branches in Talpiyet, which is currently the home design center in Jerusalem. This will change everything for the residents here.”
Rewatch insisted that the decision to open the Green Line was not political. “We have no agenda, and we were not given any government grants. We bought the land very cheaply, and we are using the money we are saving to provide a good service.
Revach said the mall will cater to Jewish and Arab customers alike.
Rewatch said there will be a strong focus on fine restaurants and leisure activities, including live music and entertainment provided almost every day. Over 20 million visitors a year have been estimated.
This week’s opening ceremony includes art performances, juggling shows, flash mob performances, musical groups, street theatre, a fashion parade and more. Organizers say that around 250 different artists will participate in the event.
A free bus line to and from Jerusalem operates from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and every 20 minutes from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., stopping at the International Convention Center, Ramot Junction and French Hill .
